The DHIS2 data from Tigray for the 2017 Ethiopian Calendar year shows notable variability in the proportion of women aged 30–49 who tested positive for cervical cancer via visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA). This indicator is calculated by dividing the number of VIA-positive cases by the total number of women screened in the target age group each month, expressed as a percentage. Monthly positivity rates ranged from 5.4% in Yekatit to a significant spike in Tir (25.3%), with other months fluctuating between 6.5% and 9.4%. The overall annual average stood at 10.8%, suggesting a moderate burden of precancerous lesions among the screened population. The missing value for Sene indicates a gap in reporting and should be flagged for follow-up. For health decision makers, this trend underscores the importance of expanding cervical cancer screening coverage, validating outlier data, and strengthening service delivery during months of increased detection
